Core services

Where we are strongest

We work in four areas day in, day out: audit, bookkeeping, payroll and forensic expert services. We carry out our engagements to the highest quality standards.

Our further specialist services

Comprehensive professional expertise in one place. Audit, accounting, tax and financial expertise within a single organisation, always in compliance with auditor independence and conflict-of-interest requirements. Where we audit a company, we assess under the law and the chamber’s rules which further services may be undertaken alongside — and we set this out clearly at the start of the engagement.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us most often

When is an audit mandatory?

Under the Hungarian Accounting Act, an audit is generally not mandatory for a double-entry bookkeeping business if, on the average of the two business years preceding the business year, annual net sales did not exceed HUF 600 million (this threshold was raised from HUF 300 million for business years starting on or after 1 January 2025) and the average number of employees did not exceed 50. In many cases — for example because of a statutory requirement, a wind-up without a legal successor, a transformation or a lender’s expectation — an audit is nevertheless required. We will check free of charge what applies in your specific situation.

What is the difference between an auditor and a forensic accounting expert?

An auditor gives an independent opinion on the reliability of the financial statements, in accordance with the accounting and auditing standards. A forensic accounting expert, by contrast, prepares an expert opinion to help decide a specific legal question: on court appointment or private instruction they examine, for example, a settlement dispute, an amount of damages or the value of a shareholding. The professional basis is the same, but the purpose of use and the liability regime differ.

Can we move our bookkeeping to you during the year?

Yes. We take over the material received from the previous bookkeeper, reconcile the opening and current-year figures, and flag anything that needs putting right. A switch is usually easiest after a month-end close, but where justified it can be done during the year, even immediately.

Can you do both the audit and the bookkeeping for the same company?

Not automatically. The auditor independence and conflict-of-interest rules limit which further services may be undertaken for an audit client — accounting and payroll work would typically create a self-review threat. We therefore examine the independence conditions at the start of every engagement and tell you clearly which services we can take on and which we cannot.

How much does the service cost?

The fee depends on the size of the company, the volume of documents, the number of employees and the deadlines undertaken. After a short discussion we give a written, itemised quote covering every element — so there are no surprises later.
