Privacy notice

How we handle the personal data you provide through this website — briefly and in plain language.

This notice covers the processing of personal data through the cfaa.hu website: the handling of enquiries received through the forms and the contact details given. The details of data processing during audit, accounting and advisory work carried out under an engagement contract are set out in the individual contract and its annexes.

1. The controller

CFAA Corporate Finance Accounting and Audit Kft. (CFAA Kft.)
Registered office, office and postal address: Zay utca 3, 1037 Budapest, Hungary
Email: info@cfaa.hu · Phone: +36 30 311 6207

2. What data we process, and why

  • Contact form. Name, email address, phone number, company name and the content of the message — in order to answer the enquiry.
  • Quote request form. Name, company name, email address, phone number, the service requested and the description given — in order to prepare the quote and to make contact.
  • Enquiries received by email or phone. The contact details you provide and the subject of the matter — in order to handle the enquiry.

We do not request or process special category data (health data, for example), and we do not use the data provided on the forms for profiling or automated decision-making.

3. The legal basis for processing

  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) — on the basis of the tick-box consent given on the form. Consent may be withdrawn at any time, without giving reasons.
  • Steps prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) — in the case of a quote request, in order to prepare the quote.

4. How long we keep the data

We keep enquiries for at most one year after the matter has been dealt with or the quote has expired, so that we know the background if you come back to us later. If you withdraw your consent, we delete the data sooner — unless the law requires us to keep it. Where a contract is concluded, the processing is governed by the engagement contract and by the retention obligations under accounting and tax legislation.

5. Who may access the data

Among the staff of CFAA Kft., only those who need it to handle the enquiry may access the data. The website’s hosting provider and the email service provider act as processors — their details will be specified after consultation with the provider, before the site goes live. We do not transfer your data to a third country and do not use it for marketing purposes.

6. Cookies

The website uses technical cookies necessary for its operation; without these some functions of the site would not work. We do not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If this changes in future, we will update this notice and obtain your consent in advance.

7. Your rights

  • Information about and access to the data we process
  • Rectification of inaccurate data
  • Erasure of your data (the “right to be forgotten”)
  • Restriction of processing
  • Data portability
  • Objection to the processing
  • Withdrawal of consent

You can make a request at info@cfaa.hu or by post. We will respond without undue delay and within one month at the latest.

8. Remedies

If you feel that something has gone wrong with the handling of your data, please contact us first — most questions can be resolved fastest this way. You may also lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information:
